Updates The next concert will be at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 11, at the Eckstein Middle School auditorium, 3003 NE 75th Street. SPRING SESSION: The Ravenna Second String Orchestra will begin Monday, April 7, and continue through June 9. The Ravenna String Orchestra will rehearse Wednesdays, April 9 through June 11. Both orchestras will have a short run through and then play an 8 p.m. concert on June 11. Rehearsals for both orchestras will run from 7:15 to 8:15 pm at Ravenna-Eckstein Community Center, 6535 Ravenna Ave. NE. The cost for either group will be $65. If you want to play in both orchestras there is a $25 additional fee for the second orchestra. Don’t hesitate to let us know if you want to apply for a tuition scholarship. The repertoire for the Monday orchestra will be arrangements of Sinfonia #11 by J.S. Bach and Carnival of the Animals by Saint-Saens. The Wednesday orchestra will play Adagio and Fugue in C Minor by Mozart and Of Glorious Plumage by Richard Meyer. |
