Updates The next concert will be at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 21, at the Eckstein Middle School auditorium, 3003 NE 75th Street. WINTER SESSION 2012 The Ravenna Second String Orchestra will begin Monday rehearsals on Jan. 9, and continue through March 19. The Ravenna String Orchestra will rehearse Wednesdays, Jan. 4 through March 21 which will be the concert date for both orchestras. Repertoire for the Monday orchestra will be an arrangement of Symphony #1, Movement 2 by Mahler, Praeludium and Allegro by Fritz Kreisler with violin soloist Sage Mitchell-Sparke and Ancient Dances and Airs by Respighi which will be performed by both orchestras. The Wednesday program will also include Concerto Grosso, Op. 6, No. 4 by Handel as well as the Waltz from Dvorak’s Serenade for String Orchestra.
