Folklife 2012: Information will be up soon. ------- String-along at Folklife 2011 Plan on joining us! The Ravenna String Orchestras and Friends will have a sight-reading session of string orchestra music based on folk tunes. This workshop will take place on Monday, May 30 (Memorial Day) from 12 noon - 1 pm at Northwest Folklife. Find us at Seattle Center, Intiman Courtyard just north of the Intiman Theatre, 20l Mercer St. Go to http://www.nwfolklife.org for added information about the festival. Anyone is welcome who plays a string instrument (violin, viola, cello or bass). Please bring a stand. Arrive early to get organized so we can begin promptly. Music is available by PDF files. For a free set of copies request these by e-mail to Judy Drake. Having your music will facilitate our starting on time. Nevertheless, some extra parts will be available at the event. Use the above contact for more information about the event. In case of rain.....we’re covered! We are under a 20’ roof overhang from which tarps are also tied to enlarge the space. |
